About Us

Who We Are

A purely charity organization that thrives on institutional support and voluntarism in Ghana. Our foundation projects are located in Ghana specifically in the Akyem Tafo traditional area in the Abuakwa North District of the Eastern Region of Ghana it is an exciting and popular place to spend some time on a volunteer project, supporting the needy and making one’s life a blessing onto others.

KOWA Foundation provides support in the area of child community education, community health education, financial literacy education, skills development, gender empowerment, rural criminal justice and the provision of free food clothing, educational materials and items to promote community and rural development targeted at the needy.

These are done in partnership with the local Presbyterian parish in the town of Akyem Tafo in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Other identifiable bodies have also been partnered in the past to support our community and rural development activities.

We seek to increase awareness of poverty and the obstacles preventing improvements in education, rural employment, savings and capital formation, sanitation and general health, rural justice and human rights through philanthropy and volunteerism.  Experiencing life in a rural Ghanaian community as an active individual or corporate member of KOWA Foundation is not just an experience but also an adventure to give back to society.

The foundation plans to extend this community support to other towns and villages in other regions in Ghana and will be happy to work with individuals and corporate partners local and abroad to see this dream become a reality.

Sources Of Our Support

Support for our projects have come mainly from PAD Associates, IMED Ghana, and individual philanthropists and we are currently extending this to invite associations, clubs, churches, enterprises and other corporate organisations in Ghana such as yours and those abroad who will want to use the foundation to drive their corporate social responsibility agenda.
